velo watch party 2026: f1 season activation.

An exclusive Formula 1 watch party activation for 150 guests, designed to convert race-day energy into a premium VELO brand moment.

project objective.

Translate the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season into a private, on-brand consumer activation for VELO South Africa that hosted 150 invited guests, drove premium brand perception and created shareable race-day moments without losing the energy of a live viewing event.

design approach.

Designed the activation as a sequence of branded zones built around the live race feed, a vehicle display moment on arrival, multiple race-viewing pods, an interactive simulator area and branded social and hospitality spaces. The spatial language used VELO's brand colours, motorsport graphics and high-contrast lighting to keep the room visually charged from arrival to the chequered flag.

Delivered a fully visualised activation that locked stakeholder approval ahead of fabrication and gave the build partner a single reference for production. The renders were also used in pre-event communications, invitations and post-event PR.

how was the velo activation designed and approved?

The activation was designed entirely in 3D so brand, agency and production stakeholders in South Africa could review, iterate and approve the space remotely before fabrication. Renders were used internally for sign-off and externally for invitations, pre-event PR and post-event coverage.
